Trail Work

Attend trail work days.
Never litter; carry it all out.
Stay on a trail; do not cut through switchbacks.
Remove branches from the trail making sure you toss them well back and away from streams.
Kick rocks off the trail using the side of your foot.
Avoid trails that are closed.

The NSMBA Arc’teryx Trail Academy offers several courses on trail care and maintenance.

North Shore Ride - Year Round 

North Shore Ride is a not-for-profit organization run by a dedicated group of volunteers to provide members a supportive and social network for cycling. Along with organizing a variety of rides for a range of fitness and skill levels, NS Ride organizes trail maintenance days and social events for members to enjoy.

Hope Mountain Centre - Seasonal 

The mission of Hope Mountain Centre for Outdoor Learning is to provide outdoor education and ecological awareness opportunities in the watersheds of southwest British Columbia. Contact them to help with trail work on the HBC Trail.

Chainsaw Training - Year round

BCIT (Burnaby, BC) offers a one-day course on chainsaw training.
